Shutter shades emoji and pen holder design that is 3d printed for your office decor.

The shutter shades emoji is a pen holder and lighted lamp for your office desk. Designed for easy 3d printing and to hold a good amount of pens. The shutter shades lets everyone know you bring coolness to a new age. The STL files come ready with an opening for a battery operated LED light. The lamp can be turned on via remote or by pressing a button on top of the emoji. Makes a great gift for anyone that’s into retro stuff.

Retro style shutter shades emoji design with LED lights for your desk.

Organize your desk with the shutter shades emoji lamp. The design has a large opening in the back that allows you to hold your pens, pencils or markers. At the top of the emoji’s head is a button to activate the internal LED light. Once the white LED lights are turned on, the design emits a soothing warm glow. The shutter shades can be 3d printed separately and then glued to the emojis’ face with your glue of choice. If you decide to leave the shutter shades off, then the design simply looks like a smiling emoji.

I color laser printed the eyes and mouth on a label substrate. Those parts were then applied to the surface of the lamp. The bottom of the emoji design has an opening for a 3 inch (outer diameter) LED puck light. The LED lights are battery operated and come with a remote control with various lighting options. For this application I just use the “white” color LED’s at 100% intensity. Using other LED colors are too muted and don’t shine through the colored filament as well as the white light.

The 3d printed phone holder attached in landscape format to a small tripod and being used to monitor 3d prints over WiFi.
